GRP Lift Pit Liner Installation Guide
Installing a GRP lift pit liner follows a straightforward sequence, with most of the work already done before the liner reaches site. The pit is built first, to the architectural drawings, ready to receive a liner that arrives already moulded and inspected.
Prior to installation, the liner should be checked for any damage that may have occurred on site. It is then carefully lowered into the pit, with the flange around its top edge resting on the pit wall. A screed can then be poured inside the liner, ready to take the lift shaft walls once it has set.
All liners, including bespoke sizes, are light enough to be lowered into the pit by hand, with no lifting equipment necessarily needed. That keeps the process quick and avoids the extra cost and coordination of bringing plant onto site for what is otherwise a small job.
